Thriving online dating niche sites

Last Update : February 20, 2024

Online dating has become one of the fastest growing sectors worldwide in the last five years. In order to keep generating billions in revenues, the main dating players have expanded to other niches within the industry.

Dating websites like eHarmony now cater for a big variety of audiences that range from different backgrounds.

When it was launched in 2000 by Dr. Neil Clark Warren, a specialist in marriage counselling, the company’s main goal was to connect local singles with a scientifically proven personality test.

Now the site operates in different areas across the world, and has created specific websites that target particular dating audiences like for example Christian, Jewish, Asian, Black, Hispanic, or senior communities.

These sites run as eHarmony main page where users have to fill a questionnaire, but for people belonging to these groups it is easier to find the appropriate partner in there as they are matched with like-minded users who are also sharing a compatible lifestyle, and have common life goals.

These websites take into account certain features like different personality types, but also other aspects like users’ cultural background, traditions or religious beliefs.

The California-based site also contains an International Dating page where you can choose within different markets, depending on location.

It seems that possibilities are endless, and there are micro sites launched in Australia, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Brazil, several South American countries, and Japan, just to name a few.

You may think that niche websites have fewer users, and the chances to find a potential partner are very limited, but eHarmony community sites have a lot to offer, as overall they currently have over 20 million registered online users around the world. In such way, it is very difficult to not find your soul mate.
